Doctor Odyssey reintroduces us to Joshua Jackson, and to good network TV
Vulture TV critic Kathryn VanArendonk talks about the appeal of the steamy new medical drama from Ryan Murphy
The trailer for Doctor Odyssey, a new medical drama on ABC starring Joshua Jackson, recently set a record for being the most-watched trailer for a new broadcast TV show ever.
The series follows Max Bankman, a doctor who takes a job onboard a luxury cruise ship called The Odyssey. The waves are high and the stakes are even higher as he gets to know the ship's captain and his medical team, all while treating crises miles from shore.
Doctor Odyssey is available to watch in Canada on channels CTV and ABC every Thursday, or on streaming platforms Crave and Disney+. With the first episode out now, Elamin chats with TV critic Kathryn VanArendonk about her review.
You can listen to the full discussion from today's show on CBC Listen or on our podcast, Commotion with Elamin Abdelmahmoud, available wherever you get your podcasts.
