Is Nicolas Cage's Longlegs the scariest movie of the year so far?
Rachel Ho, Jackson Weaver and Matt Hart review one of the most anticipated films of the summer
The mega-hyped new horror flick Longlegs just came out and it's already getting rave reviews, scoring a 91 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film stars Maika Monroe (It Follows, The Guest) as an FBI agent who's investigating a possible serial killer known only as Longlegs, played by the one and only Nicolas Cage.
Today on Commotion, film critic Rachel Ho, entertainment reporter Jackson Weaver and media personality Matt Hart join guest host Rad Simonpillai to share their thoughts on Longlegs and whether it is indeed the scariest movie of the year.
Plus, the panel discusses the disastrous box office performance of Kevin Costner's historical saga Horizons, and the controversy surrounding the recently released trailer for Gladiator II.
You can listen to the full discussion from today's show on CBC Listen or on our podcast, Commotion with Elamin Abdelmahmoud, available wherever you get your podcasts.
Panel produced by Stuart Berman.
