Quebec musicians created six out of the 10 albums on this year's Polaris Music Prize shortlist. Despite hailing from the same province, the artists range from psychedelic rock band Population II to indie pop group Bibi Club.
Today on Commotion, host Elamin Abdelmahmoud speaks with La Presse culture reporter Dominic Tardif about the popularity of Quebec music and why it may come from a surge in provincial pride.
