The band April Wine was influential in many ways — so much so, that the band's music has become an essential part of Canadiana.

The band's former singer, Nova Scotia musician Myles Goodwyn, died on Sunday at the age of 75. He had stepped down from the band earlier this year.

Musician Craig Northey is currently touring with a supergroup called the Trans-Canada Highwaymen, which plays hits from the '60s and '70s. The first single on their latest album is an April Wine classic: Tonite Is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love.

Northey joins host Elamin Abdelmahmoud to remember the legacy of April Wine and its late singer.
