Nelson George sits down with Elamin Abdelmahmoud to discuss his work on the series Black Life: Untold Stories
Black Life: Untold Stories is a new CBC documentary series that digs deep into the experiences and contributions of Black Canadians across an array of cultural spaces — from hip-hop and sports to slavery and policing. The eight-part series features Black Canadian directors and stars like Michie Mee and Cadence Weapon.
Ahead of the series's drop this week on CBC Gem, music journalist and executive producer Nelson George sat down with host Elamin Abdelmahmoud to talk about what inspired him as a Black American to be a part of this Black Canadian series.
