See him compete with his tropical, sci-fi style on this Sunday's Crash Gallery premiere
Langley, B.C. digital artist and painter Shane Molina moved to Canada from Hawaii and infused his work with its influence. Mixed in with R2-D2, spaceships and fantasy monsters are vibrant tropical landscapes and turquoise oceans — quite an antidote to Canadian winter.
This Sunday, Shane will be one of three artists competing in the Season 2 premiere of Crash Gallery. He'll be set against the clock and against the other artists in two art challenges — including painting on the daunting metal canvas of a car. So will his experience painting cars help him paint on a car? Find out this Sunday, Feb. 5 at 9:30pm (10pm NT).
Check out more of Shane's work in the video above and hear about how he proved his teachers wrong about making a career from art.
