Tori Swanson's primary focus is on nude commission portraits with charcoal, or as she puts it: "I see a lot of naked people on the regular."

Being painted completely naked can be a vulnerable experience, and Tori tries to turn that experience into a liberating one by getting her clients talking about it.

It's liberating. Not only are they fully naked, but it's almost like I'm transcribing the words they're saying into the drawing.- Tori Swanson

Tori's portraits are abstract. She says she prefers this because she likes "to focus on the feeling and what the person represents in their posture." For Tori, this is the key element of her work: "I'm more inspired by the human body, and I'm more inspired by the way that people carry themselves and their feelings towards their body. So that's what I try to promote. Healthy body image."

How will Tori's style fare in the competitive environment of Crash Gallery? She's confident: "I work best under pressure." Watch Crash Gallery now and see Tori draw what might be the world's first nude portrait drawn while upside-down.
