Artists residency takes place on the edge of world's largest hot desert
Some folks might think we're crazy for living like this. But for me, crazy is spending your whole life in just one place.- Morgan Tams
What happens when you drop eight artists from around the world in the Sahara Desert for eight weeks?
For Vancouver Island filmmaker and teacher, Morgan Tams, the desolate landscape became his muse.
In this video, Tams takes us along on his experience in the Sahara Desert where he participated in The Weight of Mountains Residency. Every two years, the residency brings together international filmmakers to be inspired by living and working in a challenging and unfamiliar landscape. This year, Tams and his fellow artists experimented, reflected and created art on the edge of world's largest hot desert.
