Putting Calgary's hip-hop scene on the map, 10 minutes at a time
It started as an experiment that Beni J shared through social media. The hip-hop promoter wanted 10 artists to perform for 10 minutes each at 10 p.m.. Four years later, 10 at 10 is sweeping Calgary to prove the city is much more than a country music hub.

Over the last four years, hip-hop promoters 10 at 10 have been trying to put Calgary on the map for a music scene that has nothing to do with country. Which hasn't exactly been easy in a city known for its big oil and conservative values.
Ultimately, their success has been all about connection, community and culture — as you can see in this short documentary filmed by Josh Wong and produced by Stephanie Matteis for CBC Arts.
