How a trip to Chile changed Regina rapper Def3's life
The artist travelled to his father's homeland to explore his heritage and his passion for music
Regina hip-hop artist Def3 has performed all over the country, headlined at the 2010 Olympics, and last year saw his album WILDLIF3 win the award for Rap Recording of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards. But it was a recent trip to his father's homeland, Chile, that truly changed his life.
The journey recharged Def3's sense of history and gave him a new passion for music through a collaboration with his father. And in this segment directed by Adrian Halter, the rapper shares his thoughts on the trip and its dramatic effects on him.
You can follow Def3 on Twitter and Instagram, and you can hear the results of his partnership with his father Ramon on his new album, set for release later this year.
