Canadian electronic music icon pays tribute to her Rough Trade inspiration
Peaches is an electronic musician, artist and performer whose stage presence echoes her music: brave, declarative and loud.
Originally from Toronto, the artist born Merrill Nisker has gone on to work with musicians from Christina Aguilera to Major Lazer, while her own stuff has been featured in numerous films. You may remember the strip club scene from Lost in Translation.
So when CBC Arts got the chance to spend a little time with Peaches in Berlin, we wanted to know who her influences were. Listen to Peaches discussing one of her heroes: Carole Pope of Rough Trade.
