This Saskatchewan photographer is finding the supernatural in the Prairies

Photographer Greg Miller is using the Saskatchewan landscape to capture a "prairie gothic."

When you're driving through the country, you inevitably see old crumbling barns sitting in the middle of fields that look as though they haven't been visited for decades. These haunting sites are favourites for Saskatchewan photographer Greg Miller, who uses buildings like these as backdrops for his otherworldly photographs.

Miller finds something romantic in the Saskatchewan landscape, which is why he describes his photograph series as "prairie gothic." And in this short doc directed by filmmaker Adrian Halter, Miller takes you inside a photo shoot that happens at night on a remote and surreal site with some very enthusiastic participants.

Adrian Halter is a filmmaker based in Regina. He lives there with his wife, Becky, and their son, Holden. You can see his other work for CBC Arts here.
