This Vancouver artist is submerging his work underwater
The acrylics artist created his most recent work, "Lures," to start a conversation about the scarcity and environmental concerns about water.
Zebulon Austin is deep diving his art... for a cause
Zebulon Austin is an acrylics artist who was raised in the Yukon, and now lives in Vancouver — where he's surrounded by natural resources that influence his art. That's certainly evident in his most recent work, "Lures," which he created to start a conversation about the scarcity and environmental concerns about water.
It was the recent California droughts, he told filmmaker J. A. Benskin, that inspired him to use the trope of a lure and submerge his art in water for this short documentary produced by CBC's Stephanie Matteis.
