Watch electro-pop artist Clara Venice give a theremin lesson
Canadian pop musician and theremin player Clara Venice shows us how to play the complex electronic instrument
Mysterious instrument entranced budding pop star from the beginning
When classically-trained violinist, Clara Venice, saw her first theremin, it was love at first sight. Now, she is an electronic pop artist who recently released her sophomore EP, Electric Dream. She plays no less than 72 instruments on the EP, which she recorded when she was an artist-in-residence at the National Music Centre in Calgary.
In this video, Clara gives us a lesson in playing the theremin, a complex electronic instrument that she describes as "one of the only instruments you play without touching it."
