An inside look at this once-in-a-lifetime celebration: a farewell to Toronto’s beloved retailer.

Established in 1948, the legendary department store Honest Ed's closed its doors last year. But before the iconic building makes way for a brand new rental community, the Centre for Social Innovation is throwing a giant farewell celebration in the 160,000 square foot building this weekend.

With over 100 artists participating in the celebration, the four-day event called "An Honest Farewell" includes performances, installations, workshops, panel discussions and more — all inspired by Honest Ed's spirit of inclusivity.

In this video, we give you an inside look at this once-in-a-lifetime celebration — a fitting farewell to Toronto's beloved retailer.
