The champions and their chosen books are:
- Jeopardy! super-champ Mattea Roach champions Ducks by Kate Beaton
- Actor Keegan Connor Tracy champions Greenwood by Michael Christie
- Bhangra dancer Gurdeep Pandher champions Hotline by Dimitri Nasrallah
- TikTok creator Tasnim Geedi champions Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
- Actor Michael Greyeyes champions Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
Over three days, the five champions have stated their case for why their book is the "one to shift your perspective." On this final day of the Canada Reads debates, they'll vote to eliminate the last title from the competition.
This year's host is comedian Ali Hassan.
Each panellist has had the opportunity to deliver an opening pitch for their respective book, then champion it when the question turned to whether their book was truly the one that all Canadians need to read right now. Today, three of the panellists are free agents and it's up to them to decide who will be crowned winner of Canada Reads 2023.
The finale takes place live at 10:05 a.m. ET (that's an hour earlier than recent years). You can tune in live or catch a replay on the platform of your choice. You can see all the broadcast details here.
