Charlie Kaufman to adapt Iain Reid's thriller I'm Thinking of Ending Things for Netflix

Canadian writer Iain Reid's first novel, I'm Thinking of Ending Thingsis being adapted to a film for Netflix by Being John Malkovich screenwriter Charlie Kaufman.

The psychological thriller follows a couple on a road trip to visit Jake's parents. Tension between the couple builds, as Jake's partner considers ending their relationship — and is eventually left stranded on a rural road.

Reid's book has been translated into more than a dozen languages and was shortlisted for the Frank Hegyi Award for Emerging Authors and the Shirley Jackson Award. He has also written two memoirs: One Bird's Choice and The Truth About Luck.
