Patrick deWitt, Susan Juby, Terry Fallis and Stuart McLean make Leacock Medal longlist

The annual Leacock Medal for Humour announced its 10-title longlist on Monday.

Patrick deWitt's Scotiabank Giller Prize-longlisted novel Undermajordomo Minor made the longlist for the $15,000 prize. DeWitt's first novel The Sisters Brothers won the prize in 2012.

Terry Fallis is a two-time Leacock Medal winner, taking the prize in 2008 for The Best Laid Plans and again in 2015 for No Relation. He's a finalist for his fifth novel Poles Apart.

CBC host Stuart McLean also got a nod for Vinyl Cafe Turns the Page, a new collection of stories featuring the beloved cast of characters from McLean's national radio show.

  • When the Saints by Sarah Mian
  • The Book of Faith by Elaine Kalman Naves

The 10 titles will be whittled down to a shortlist of three on May 6. The winner will be announced on June 11.
