KELOWNA, B.C.—Finally, it's here.

On this day, June 21st, the glorious first day of summer, Danny Herman, 33, has a day off from his job as a sandwich artist. And he's making the most of it, letting everyone know what a wonderful, beautiful day it is, from inside, at his laptop.

"Patio season's here, folks!" wrote Herman, and before snapping a picture of the beautiful blue cloud-dotted sky that he carefully made sure showed none of the streaks from the bathroom window through which he took it, before he posted it on Facebook.

"This. Summer and its sunshine came just in time," he tweeted, without attaching a picture, while making some spaghetti for lunch which he would then eat while he watched Casino in a room literally devoid of windows.

Realizing that his Instagram viewers would be far more eagle-eyed about his photographic evidence, Herman popped outside for a quick second to take a picture of some flowers, posting the shot with the caption, "Just passed by these summer beauties," which was technically true, although after passing by them he instantly turned back around and went back inside, as Goodfellas was only 1/3 of the way through its 178 minute running time.

At press time, Herman had received a text from a friend who was stuck in an office, asking what it was like outside, to which he replied, "Oh it's amazing. Wait, are you not out enjoying it? Dude!"
