Inspiring Canadians from all walks of life share their unique takes in this short and powerful interview series.

Acclaimed interview series Brief But Spectacular begins a 10-episode run on the CBC Docs site and the CBC Docs Facebook page on January 8, 2020. The weekly short-form videos invite viewers to meet inspiring Canadians and get their unique takes on their areas of passion and expertise. The premiere episode features Kim Phúc, who became widely known as the "Napalm Girl" depicted in the iconic photo taken during the Vietnam War in 1972. She speaks movingly about her relationship with pain and forgiveness. 

Subsequent episodes include interviews with: comedian Aisha Brown discussing the role of anxiety in comedy; journalist Anna Mehler Paperny speaking about her multiple suicide attempts; Baroness von Sketch star Meredith MacNeill on gratitude; Karen B.K. Chan on sexuality and feelings; director Weyni Mengesha on developing the next generation of storytellers; actress Asha Bromfield on authenticity; Yusuf Faqiri discussing mental illness and the death of his brother, Soleiman; and neurologist Morgan Barense talking about her cutting-edge research on improving memory loss.
