"I've never seen that many animals in one spot, It's just mind-blowing." Filmmakers work amongst a million penguins in Antarctica.

Zavodovski Island in Antarctica is home for one and a half million Chinstrap Penguins, the largest penguin colony on earth. Surrounded by stormy seas and located on an active volcano, few humans have ever set foot there.

There were so many penguins that it was a challenge for the crew to find a bare place to pitch their tents. "We purposely choose this campsite, because it was a place where the penguins didn't seem to go."

Perfect, so the penguins thought, for a little poop spot. "I kind of got used to it late at night. Just hearing a constant 'splat' on top of the tent."
