Your horoscope for the week ahead: A New Moon in Cancer and Leo season bring problem-solving energy

June brought us a New Moon in Cancer when Mercury was moving retrograde. This week begins with another New Moon Cancer. It's not often that two in a row take place. So, get your ducks in a row and ready for the burst of energy it will bring. With Mercury moving forward now, you can really kick off with your new plans and strategies. The Sun's entry into wilful Leo on Wednesday will add to the New Moon burst of energy. Jump on Apollo's chariot and he will take you on a journey to fulfilment.  

Our skies are being graced by another comet. This one is called NEOWISE (catalogued C/2020 F3). There has been a dearth of bright comets in recent years. It's been slim pickings. NEOWISE is the best comet appearance for the Northern Hemisphere since Comet Hale-Bopp in 1997. Hale-Bopp was so impressive, it was deemed a Great Comet. 

NEOWISE is not expected to become a Great Comet, but it is a beauty. After all, it survived the July 3rd perihelion challenge of looping around the Sun. Most comets disintegrate at that point, but not NEOWISE. It boomeranged back toward Earth and beyond. It will be nearest Earth on July 23, and it won't be back for 6,800 years. 

Before July 12, the best time to see it was before sunrise. But from the 14th onward, it became visible in the evening sky about an hour after sunset. You can now find it over the northwestern horizon as twilight fades into darkness. A pair of binoculars will enhance the view.
