How The Great One lives: Inside Gretzky's recently sold mansion
There are many benefits to playing hockey. Like, if you get real good, you too could live in a 6 million dollar LA mansion.
Wayne Gretzky finally sold his 6-bed, 7-bath home in the Westlake Village area of Los Angeles. It wasn't the first time he tried. He tried to sell the palatial pad in 2015 to the tune of $10.5 million but had to slice and dice the price, selling it earlier this year for a cool $6 million.
The home is part of a gated community (of course) inside the Sherwood Country Club just outside the Santa Monica Mountains and about an hour's drive from West Hollywood. It's 7,608 square feet on one acre of land.
For those living in California, outside living space is a big priority, and there is no shortage of wow when it comes to this home. A giant pool, patio and alfresco dining terrace (with full outdoor kitchen) are everything The Great One would need to enjoy the LA weather. Our jealousy levels are at an all-time high on this one.
The library even has a portrait of Number 99 adorning its walls.
Other features include 4-indoor fireplaces, 2-outdoor fireplaces, detached guesthouse, and a glorious gym for all those intense workouts.
No word on where he currently lives, but with a growing family, we suspect it's an opulent manor fit for the king of the NHL.
