Texture play
The model-off-duty look, coupled with the rise of easy-going French girl beauty, has made way for perfectly imperfect hair to be the massive trend that it is today. Enter Sebastian Professional's new Effortless Texture collection, a three-product line with messy strands in mind. Use the shampoo or conditioner to amp up volume and piecey-ness, while the Texture Spray will take your locks over the top when it comes to the ultimate, sexy bedhead look. No need for extra styling wands and excessive tricks, and the formula helps to protect colour.
Sebastian Professional Effortless Texture Reset Anti-Residue Shampoo, $49.85, Preset Texture Building Conditioner, $39.96, and Shaper iD Texture Spray, $19.90, ulta.com and select salons across Canada
Third time's a charm
The final piece in the trilogy, luxury Swiss skincare line Valmont has just released the Blue Dragon Edition of their holiday Elixir des Glaciers series. For the past three years, the house has encased their to-die-for face cream in a jewellery box worthy of a museum, to honour the brands matriarch, Sophie Guillon. And they only produced a limited edition run of these cobalt Murano glass cases, so if you get your hands on one of them it will be a one-of-a-kind gift indeed. The box itself is spectacular, but the crème inside is equally beguiling — the concoction is an anti-aging favourite among luxury skincare fans.

Hair repair
Infused with responsibly sourced Argan and coconut oil, this new balm is not just for your strands. Yes, it will work wonders on healing any damage caused by styling tools and the like when you run a small amount through your ends as a finisher, and is the perfect antidote to frizzy strands when used as an overnight masque. But it can also be used on dry skin patches, like knees, feet, cuticles or elbows. You can even use it as a moisturizing lip balm.

Skin so soft
Fans of green beauty will be overjoyed by the latest news coming from The Detox Market. The LA-based brand, which has outposts in Toronto and NYC, has just launched their own line of skincare prods, taking over three years to dig into what would make their collection so special. And the star product from the line shows off their dedication to getting it right — the All Together Oil is housed in a beautifully illustrated box, but what's inside is just as noteworthy. Blended full of goodness like jojoba oil, macadamia nut and grape seed oil, the formula works well as a multi-tasker for skin, hair and nails. Not to mention it smells oh-so-lovely thanks to hits of citrus and ginger.

Out of this world
The latest innovation from green beauty brand Graydon has just landed. The Fullmoon Serum is full of multi-tasking plant goodness including botanical collagen, vitamin C, retinol (derived from the moth bean plant) and oligopeptides (to encourage natural collagen production). Apply at night under your favourite moisturizer and your skin will feel hydrated, smooth and calm. And the clear blue shade of the serum itself (thanks to a hit of blue tansy, which is anti-inflammatory) makes for a pretty perfect Instagram #shelfie moment.

First aid
We slather on serum on our faces religiously every night before we dab on our creams and lotions, so why not do the same for the skin that covers the rest of us? Introducing Moroccanoil's new Night Body Serum. It's super lightweight, making it perfect to layer under body lotion for ultra nourishing effects. Or you can apply the holy basil, argan oil and tsubaki oil infused potion on alone for hydrated and toned skin.

Knot on my watch
Freshly washed hair can be a nightmare for some because of how easily strands can get all twisted. Instead of working out the knots with a wide tooth comb, try the new Tangle Teeze Wet Detangler, which is designed to bend and flex over tangles, so there is no pulling or snagging while the 325 teeth slide through strands. You can use it in the shower, as soon as you get out or on dry hair.
