PSA: You are probably wearing a bra that does not fit right now, and it does not need to be this way
The Succulent Six get the know-how on finding the perfect-fitting, all-important garment once — and for all.
If you've got boobs, chances are you've dealt with an ill-fitting bra at some point in your life. Wires that poke out, straps that dig in or slip right off, backs that ride up, or the dreaded double boob that happens when your cups runneth over are all symptoms of a bra that doesn't fit you well. Also, given the hundreds of comics that liken bras to medieval torture devices, one has to wonder just why these things exist, if they make so many of us uncomfortable.
Truly, bras are not just there for show - the connective tissue (Cooper's ligaments) which support breast tissue are quite thin, and can only do so much in supporting your breasts over the years! Without some added support, these ligaments can stretch and eventually tear, leading to pain, discomfort or a changed appearance of breast shape, size or placement.
And, we've got good news for you - a bra does not have to hurt! A proper fitting bra should be like a pair of comfy shoes - supportive, secure, and (hopefully) like a second skin. But when it comes down to it, so many of us sacrifice style for comfort, or comfort for function, or function for fit, and end up with lingerie drawers full of things we can't wear, and only one or two bras which we wear so much we eventually wear them out.
So, our Succulent Squad sought out the help of the bra fitters at Toronto's, Broad Lingerie, who specialize (oft overlooked) sizes D+, up to J-cup. Shopping for a bra without a professional fitting doesn't mean that you're doing it wrong, but getting a professional fitting can empower you with the knowledge required to get that perfect fit, every time. Watch "DON'T BE A BOOB" to learn with us!
