Chemical peels, lip injections, botox, liposuction… these are all treatments that celebrities spend a fortune on while trying to look younger and fresher. But since we can't all afford weekly trips to the spa, here's how to replicate expensive beauty treatments at home for less. Like thousands of dollars less.

Luxury face oil

Our first budget beauty hack is in honour of Gwyneth Paltrow, who apparently spends $21,000 on beauty procedures and products A MONTH. Her very own face oil that promises plump up your face retails for $150. Here's how to make your own for just $10:

What you'll need:

  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seed oil (prevents water loss)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (moisturizing)
  • ½ tablespoon jojoba oil (reduces oil production)
  • 1 teaspoon grapeseed oil (anti-aging)
  • 10 drops bergamot oil (helps get rid of scars)
  • 14 drops geranium oil (reduces redness and is anti-inflammatory)

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix them up well.

A lot of people are afraid of face oils because they think it will make them greasy or break out. But, as you get older, the natural oils in your skin start to disappear, drying out your skin out and making wrinkles look deeper. A face oil will plump up those lines and moisturize better than anything. Even Sophia Loren credits a lifetime of olive oil baths as one of the reasons her skin is so beautiful. All you do is put this on your face every night and you've saved 21 thousand dollars!

Lip plumper

Have you ever wanted a fuller, poutier lip? Obviously. Arguably the most popular procedure in the age of Kardashian, lip injections can cost anywhere between $2000 and $4000 a procedure, which you would need to get every 6 months. Get plumper lips naturally for just a few bucks with this easy treatment.

What you'll need:

  • ¼ tsp coconut oil
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Place it on your lips, then tap it off with a warm cloth.

In this mixture, the cayenne pepper does exactly what all the expensive, topical 'lip plumping' products do — it irritates your lips so they swell. The coconut oil balances things out by keeping your lips moisturized.

Brow enhancer

People underestimate the importance of the eyebrow. For celebrities like Oprah, the secret to thicker brows is microblading, which is essentially an $800 tattoo on your face. Since we don't have Oprah's budget, we're showing you how to thicken brows using soap. Two dollar soap.

What you'll need:

  • Transparent glycerin soap
  • 1 clean spoolie brush

Directions:

Rub your clean spoolie brush in soap. Next, brush it through your brows in an upward motion. Once that's done, wait a few minutes and add your eyebrow pencil to fill in any sparse areas.

The waxy texture builds up on the hairs and gives the illusion of fuller brows. Eat your heart out, Cara Delevingne.
