The 2023 Polaris Music Prize took place on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at Toronto's Massey Hall where Debby Friday took home the night's big honour for her album, Good Luck.

Throughout the evening, photographer Vanessa Heins was there to capture portraits of this year's short-list nominees including Friday, Begonia, Gayance and Dan Mangan. Check out all the photos below.
