It's been over a week since Drake released his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs, and it has earned the Toronto rapper yet another No. 1 album. But beyond that, how successful has his latest effort been?

Below, we've broken down all the new records Drake set with For All the Dogs, as well as how these figures compare to some of his previous albums.

Drake's new records

Drake is the artist with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 in history, with 320 songs on the chart throughout his entire career. He's the only artist to chart at least 300 songs, and his new entries from For All the Dogs have broken several more records, primarily around No. 1s on the chart, including:

Tied for solo male with the most No. 1s

Drake and Michael Jackson are now tied for 13 No. 1s each. They're the two solo men with the most No. 1s, and they have the fourth-most Hot 100 No. 1s among all acts behind the Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (19) and Rihanna (14). Drake has the most No. 1s among rappers.

Tied for most Hot 100 No. 1s in 2023

With two No. 1s on the Hot 100, Drake is now tied with SZA for the most Hot 100 hits this year. Drake and SZA's track "Slime You Out" hit No. 1 in September, and Drake and J. Cole's song "First Person Shooter" went to No. 1 when For All the Dogs was released.

Most Hot 100 No.1s in the '20s

The Toronto rapper has also now passed K-pop group BTS for the most No. 1s this decade. Drake currently has seven Hot 100 No. 1s in the 2020s and BTS has six.

Largest streaming week of 2023

For All the Dogs had the largest streaming week of the year with 514.01 million streams, making it the largest streaming week of 2023 for any album, according to Billboard.

How does For All the Dogs' success compare to previous albums?

While Drake continues to set new records with For All the Dogs, in isolation, his latest album's numbers have declined compared to previous releases. For example, For All the Dogs notched the eighth-biggest first-day album debut in Spotify history with 108.6 million streams, but two other Drake albums performed better: 2018's Scorpion ranks No. 5 with 132.4 million streams, and 2021's Certified Lover Boy is No. 2 with 154.9 million streams. The current record-holder is Taylor Swift's Midnights with 184.9 million streams in one day.

For All the Dogs earned Drake his 13th No. 1 album with 402,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week, but that number is actually lower than his last few albums. Her Loss, his 2022 collaborative album with 21 Savage, earned 404,000 equivalent album units; 2021's Certified Lover Boy debuted with 613,000 equivalent album units in its first week. The only anomaly is 2022's Honestly, Nevermind, which landed Drake another No. 1 album with just 204,000 album equivalent units.

The duration of Drake's chart dominance is also fluctuating more. Whereas Certified Lover Boy spent three straight weeks at the top of the charts, Her Loss and Honestly, Nevermind only spent one week at No. 1. And it appears that Bad Bunny is on track to overtake the No. 1 position on the charts next week with his latest album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, which he dropped on Oct. 13. Bad Bunny was one of many guests on For All the Dogs, on the track, "Gently."

In an era when artists are still dominating the Billboard 200 for weeks at a time — SZA, Morgan Wallen, Travis Scott are just some examples this year — Drake's numbers continue to push him into record-breaking territory, but how long can he continue to hold on as one of the world's biggest global stars?
