First Play Live: Caveboy, Night in the Park, Kiss in the Dark
Watch the Montreal-based trio perform songs from its first full-length album
Caveboy's excitement at performing songs from its debut full-length album, Night in the Park, Kiss in the Dark, was palpable when members Lana Cooney, Isabelle Banos and Michelle Bensimon arrived in Studio 211 ahead of the album's Jan. 31 release.
And no wonder: it was the first time they'd ever performed the album live.
Cooney (drums, vocals), Banos (keys, bass, vocals) and Bensimon (lead singer, guitar, keys) have known each other since they were teenagers and have been releasing music since 2015, first with an EP and followed by many singles along the way. (They also won one of three spots for the 2018 Allan Slaight Juno Master Class .) With Night in the Park, Kiss in the Dark, things really came together.
"We finally found the sound that we wanted in this time in our careers, and that may evolve, and that may change, but right now it's exactly what we want to sound like, exactly the kind of music we want to be making," Bensimon said.
Watch and listen to Caveboy's infectious brand of pop/rock that explores themes of adulthood, personal growth through relationships (good and bad) and of healing old wounds.
