Submissions are now open for the 2025 Juno Awards
Canadian musicians can send in applications until Nov. 7
It's that time of year: the 2025 Juno Award submissions are officially open, and you can submit here.
To be eligible for nominations, your music must have been released between Sept. 1, 2023, and Nov. 1, 2024. The early-bird deadline is Oct. 22 for submissions, and the final deadline is Nov. 7 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
New submission requirements for 2025
To be eligible for the 2025 Junos, there are some additional requirements this time:
- All music must be available on at least one digital service provider, with the exception of submissions for album artwork of the year.
- All consumption-based categories will include data from Sept. 1, 2023, to Nov. 29, 2024.
For all category-specific eligibility, head to JunoAwards.ca.
Category changes for 2025
The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced in September that there would be two new awards at the next Junos: songwriter of the year (non-performer) and South Asian music recording of the year.
CARAS is also dropping the international album of the year category for 2025, and merging breakthrough artist and breakthrough group of the year into one category.
JunoFest submissions
JunoFest — two nights of packed live shows leading up to the big awards night — is returning to the 2025 Juno Awards, and applications are open to solo artists and full bands now.
It is for Canadian artists only, and priority is given to 2025 Juno Award nominees and artists/bands from Vancouver and surrounding areas. Deadline for submission is Jan. 3, 2025, at 5 p.m. ET.
The 2025 Juno Awards will take place on March 30 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, and broadcast live on CBC-TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, CBC Listen and globally at CBCMusic.ca/junos.
