The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) has announced the performers and co-hosts for this year's Juno Opening Night Awards on March 23. 

Aba Amuquandoh, anchor on This Hour Has 22 Minutes and host of Best in Miniature, and CBC Music's Damhnait Doyle will co-host the 2024 Saturday night ceremony, where more than 40 Junos will be awarded. The Opening Night Awards will be livestreamed at cbcmusic.ca/junos starting at 5 p.m. ET/6 p.m. AT.

Several of this year's Juno nominees will take the stage, including: adult alternative album of the year nominee Begonia; contemporary and traditional R&B/soul recording of the year nominee Aqyila; reggae recording of the year nominee Jah'Mila; and single and breakthrough artist of the year nominee Lu Kala. 2023/2024 Allan Slaight Juno Master Class recipient Lili-Ann De Francesco will also be performing.

Halifax lawyer Chip Sutherland, who is this year's recipient of the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award, will be recognized at the ceremony.


Host Nelly Furtado is bringing the party to the 2024 Juno Awards on Sunday, March 24, at 8 p.m ET. Tune in on CBC-TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music and CBC Listen, and stream globally on cbcmusic.ca/junos.
