The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and Slaight Music have announced the winners of this year's Allan Slaight Juno Master Class winners.

Toronto rapper Haviah Mighty, Halifax band Port Cities and Winnipeg artist smrtdeath were selected as the winners by a jury of music industry professionals. Joining these three artists in an intensive week of mentorship will be the 2018 CBC Music Searchlight winner, aquakultre.

This mentorship program that the winners have earned will take place in Toronto and will be hosted by Canada's Music Incubator at Coalition Music with Canadian artists and industry leaders. This will all culminate in a big showcase event in Toronto, as well as studio time at Slaight Music Recording Studios.

In addition to that, this year's winners will receive a trip to the 2019 Juno Awards in London, Ont. And of the four artists listed above, one will be chosen to perform at the 2019 Juno gala dinner and awards ceremony.
