Actor and musician Keanu Reeves has reunited with his grunge band, Dogstar, for the group's first album and tour in more than 20 years.

"We are so excited to announce our new album Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees out on October 6 on our label Dillon Street Records," the band announced on Instagram.

The tour includes over 25 dates with one Canadian show at Toronto's Lee's Palace on Dec. 9.

Last month, Dogstar performed live at BottleRock Napa Valley music festival and teased that new music was on the way. They followed up the performance with a headlining show at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles on July 18, and shared that a new single, "Everything Turns Around," would be released on July 19.

"It has an uplifting message and a positive vibe that hopefully makes your day a little bit lighter," the band told Consequence of Sound about the new song. "It's one of our favourite songs to play live and can't wait to share it on our upcoming tour."

Dogstar originally formed in 1994, with Reeves playing bass, Bret Domrose as the guitarist-vocalist and Rob Mailhouse on drums. They released an album, Happy Endings, in 2000, before splitting up in 2002.
