Every year, Canada Day sparks celebrations and fireworks. Another guarantee on that day is that you'll be hearing the Canadian national anthem played out loud for everyone to sing along.

Performing the anthem is something every Canadian has had to do, whether you're a kid in grade school or an award-winning musician. For the latter, many artists have taken to the stage or sports arena to sing for a big crowd, and there have been some truly memorable moments: Nikki Yanofsky's 2014 Grey Cup appearance or, more recently, Sarah McLachlan at Game 6 of the NBA Finals, where the Toronto Raptors captured the championship title for the first time ever.

Below, we've compiled 15 of our favourite Canadian stars performing the national anthem. Which ones are your fave? Share with us @CBCMusic.
