Tate McRae headed into the 2023 Juno Awards with the second most nominations, tied with Avril Lavigne with five nominations including the TikTok Juno fan choice, album of the year and songwriter of the year.
While best known for her emotional ballads, McRae brought a dose of pop-punk to the Junos stage on Monday night, kicking off the evening in a head-to-toe red latex outfit and performing her 2022 track "She's all I Wanna Be," which was also nominated for single of the year.
