Non-profit Women in Music Canada (WIM) has opened submissions for the second annual honours, the program that celebrates women and gender-diverse music industry professionals and artists.

Applications can be submitted here by Dec. 11 by either the prospective honouree or a colleague.

There are two new categories for 2024: change maker of the year and artist of the year. Other categories include international leader of the year, entrepreneur of the year, excellence in live music and more. Eligibility guidelines are available here.

A jury of music industry professionals will select a long list of nominees, from which a finalist jury will choose the honourees. To be considered for the jury, applicants can submit their information here.

"Canada is brimming with incredible women and gender-diverse music innovators," said WIM Canada's executive director, Robyn Stewart, in a press release. "The 2024 WIM Canada honours program will elevate incredible leaders, their projects and their successes, all wrapped up in an incredible night of networking, comradery and great music."

Last year, honourees included Charlotte Cardin, Domanique Grant and more.

The recipients of the 2024 honours will be revealed on March 5, 2024, in Toronto, during a reception dinner and showcase.
