      Ihor Verys of Chilliwack, B.C., has finished second in the Backyard Ultra, where competitors run a consecutive distance of 6.706 metres in under an hour, until one racer is left. Nick Jarvis, a close friend of Verys, spoke to Gloria Macarenko just before the race ended.
