The New Brunswick government has reached a tentative contract agreement with its more than 8,000 teachers.
The Office of Human Resources and the New Brunswick Teachers' Federation had been negotiating for the past seven months to replace the collective agreement that expired on Feb. 29.
Both parties have agreed to withhold details of the tentative agreement until after the ratification vote takes place by the union. The tentative contract will be shared with teachers over the coming weeks.
