Drunk driver doing 176 km/h on Pitts Memorial Drive in St. John's
An impaired driver was speeding at 176 km/h Sunday morning on Pitt's Memorial Drive.
The driver was spotted by police in a 100 km/h zone at 11 a.m. Sunday
A drunk driver was clocked doing 176 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on Pitts Memorial Drive Sunday morning, police say.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the vehicle was spotted by police at around 11:00 a.m.
Police said the driver was charged with impaired driving and issued a ticket for imprudent driving.
The driver will appear in provincial court at a later date.
