Sheshatshiu RCMP have lifted a shelter in place order, as police take a man into custody after responding to a report of a man with a gun in the community.

The RCMP in Sheshatshiu have lifted a shelter in place order for the community.

Shortly after 2 p.m. AT, police issued the order after reports of a man with a gun in the community.

Police say the man was in his early 30s, wearing brown pants and a grey sweater, and was carrying a backpack.

In an update shortly after 3 p.m., the RCMP said one man was taken into custody and the order had been lifted.
