Testori expands west

Testori Americas will open a new production facility in Bloomfield, creating 40 full-time jobs.

Testori Americas will open a new production facility in Bloomfield, creating 40 full-time jobs.

Testori, based in Slemon Park, constructs interiors for airplanes, trains and helicopters.

The expansion will make Testori the anchor tenant in a new manufacturing complex under construction at the West Prince Business Park.

"It's another challenge that we are adding to the many that we have," says Testori Americas president Lindo Lapegna. "We are already the leader in North America in the business that we do so now our challenge is to go farther."

Lapegna says the federal and provincial governments encouraged him to consider the Bloomfield site for the new facility. He says the biggest selling point was the available workforce, and the close proximity to the Slemon park location.

The federal government is providing half a million dollars for the purchase of new equipment for the expansion. PEI Business Development is also putting a half million dollars into the new facility.
