Ukrainian advocacy group thanks Carney for ‘stepping up’ at G7

After meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the G7 summit in Calgary on Tuesday, Canadian Prime Minister Carney announced $4.3 billion dollars in new Canadian support for the war-torn country, as well as tougher sanctions against Russia. Alexandra Chyczij, president of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, told As It Happens host Nil Kӧksal that she welcomes the news.
