Elijah Woods brings his buoyant pop songs to the Drake Underground
“This headline tour is my first headline tour ever,” Elijah Woods told CBC Music before hitting the stage at Toronto’s Drake Underground. The Toronto-based singer and producer revelled in his excitement while performing buoyant pop songs including “Lights,” “Past Life,” and “Make Believe.” During “Wildfire,” he had the crowd singing along like a choir, swaying in sync. Then, a surprise appearance from country singer Mackenzie Porter caused a ripple of cheers when she joined him for a duet of “Last Girl.” Fan engagement was the show's beating heart, as Woods brought a young audience member on stage to dance with him and later, invited the whole crowd to be part of a TikTok. He ended the show by dancing into the sea of concertgoers to sing “Take Care,” putting smiles on everyone’s faces.
