Kitchener high school celebrates Indigenous culture
Organizers hosted 32 classes at St Mary's High School in Kitchener to give students a chance to take part in courses about Indigenous literacy, religion and history. Jennifer Ritsma, the Catholic school board's superintendent of learning, Jennifer Staats, an Indigenous and equity consultant, and Knowledge Keeper Darlene Schaffer spoke to CBC K-W's Aastha Shetty about the event.
