Part One

Winnipeg squatters
This week, Patrick Michalishyn of Winnipeg discovered a woman was squatting in his garage — and his first course of action was to get her some dinner.

Meat & dairy study
It's a huge contributor to climate change, so a new study concludes that, if you do only one thing to reduce your environmental footprint, it should be reducing your intake of dairy, and meat.

'Feckless C-word'
Some people are beyond crotchety after Samantha Bee uses an anatomical obscenity to describe Ivanka Trump — but Scottish comedian Jane Godley says that, where that one word is concerned, it's time for a C-change.

Part Two

Maria Campbell book
Researchers uncover pages from the memoir of Métis writer Maria Campbell, which reveal an alleged sexual assault by an RCMP officer — and the publisher's decision to leave that un-published.

Ear cockroach
Blake Collins-McGee of Florida thought his cockroach problem couldn't get any worse — until one decided to burrow right into his head.

Part Three

Hockey racism
At a hockey tournament in Quebec City, a team of young teenagers called the First Nations Elites expected opposition from the other team on the ice — but not from loud racists in the crowd.

HIV Gambia lawsuit
The former president of Gambia said the cure for HIV came to him in a dream. That "cure" involved herbal concoctions and chanted prayers. Now, three people who managed to survive are suing him for his treatment program — which one of the plaintiffs calls "a horror".
