A stretch of California beach is about to be returned to the Black family that originally owned it — a century after it was expropriated because of a collaboration between local officials and the KKK.

Ethiopia expels UN officials
Ethiopia ejects seven senior UN officials from the country, after accusing the aid group of meddling in its internal affairs. One humanitarian campaigner says the move spells bad news all around.

Deadly cassowary study 
Cassowaries have a reputation for being the world's most dangerous birds but a new study shows humans may have been rearing their chicks thousands of years ago.
