Chuck James and his family lost their dog, Reckless, while they picked through the pieces of their home, damaged in 2012's Hurricane Sandy. For months, they searched for their pet terrier-pit bull mix and finally gave up hope. But, everything changed last week. A year and a half later, the New Jersey family went to a local pet shelter to adopt a new dog, and to everyone's surprise, there was Reckless.
"We walked through the doors and there he was," Mr. James tells Carol. "I didn't recognize him at first, because he was a lot heavier than he was -- they fed him real well there."
