Comedian Debra DiGiovanni shares what it's like to restart her career in Los Angeles

Debra DiGiovanni is the reigning queen of Canadian comedy. She's been awarded the title of the best female comic by the Canadian Comedy Award three times in five years, and named Toronto's favorite comedian for three years running.

After building a long and successful comedy career in Canada, Debra DiGiovanni decided that she wanted to make it in America.  Debra has been scaling new heights in Los Angeles, where she has been a star of an indie film and her own stand-up comedy DVD, Single, Awkward Female. 

The comedian shares her thoughts on the Cali lifestyle with Candy, and explains the importance of representing Canadian comedy. She chats about how her abundance of downtime has led her to joining a book club, taking cooking classes and going out for many brunch dates.
