Day 6

Riffed from the headlines 19/12/15

Riffed from the headlines is Day 6's weekly news quiz where we choose three riffs linked by one story in the news.

Riffed From The Headlines is our weekly quiz where we choose three riffs linked by one story in the news. Guess the story that links the riffs and you could win a Day 6 tote bag! You can listen to this week's clue below and email us your answer at day6@cbc.ca. Make sure to include your mailing address and put "Riffed from the Headlines" in the subject line.

Last week's clues were "Mr. Pharmacist" by The Other Half, "C.R.E.A.M" by Wu-Tang Clan, and "I Need that Record" by the Tweeds. Our winner is Joe Gabriel of North York, Ontario. He correctly guessed the headline we were looking for: pharmaceutical CEO Martin Shkreli buys Wu-Tang Clan's one-of-a-kind album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin for $2 million U.S.

You'll remember Shkreli became notorious earlier this year after he increased the price of a life-saving drug from $13.50 to $750 and he's back in the headlines this week after federal agents arrested him at his Manhattan home on securities fraud charges.
