If you want a sense of how charismatic Hans Rosling was, how about this? He rose to international fame talking about statistics and data.
Rosling died of cancer in Uppsala, Sweden on Tuesday. He was 68.
Rosling was a Swedish physician, educator and statistician, but the final years of his life were spent educating people about poverty and population growth, as part of the group Gapminder.
